Epic Group founder and executive chairman Ranjan Mahtani paid a courtesy call on BGMEA president Faruque Hassan at Gulshan on Tuesday.
Tanvir Ahmed BGMEA Director was also present on the occasion, said a press release.
They discussed various issues, particularly the potential and future priorities of the garment industry in Bangladesh, and the Epic Group’s long-term business partnership with Bangladeshi suppliers.
During the meeting, Epic Group Chairman expressed his intention to work with BGMEA to promote Bangladesh and its garment industry globally, highlighting energy, world-class workplace safety, environmental sustainability, and good practices in the sector.
BGMEA President Faruque Hassan requested the Epic Group to increase its sourcing of garments from Bangladesh and assured the company of all-out support to expand its suppliers’ base and sourcing volume in the country.
He additionally approached the Epic Group to help and team up with their providers in the country to fabricate their abilities in specialized materials and assemble top-of-the-line apparel products.
